Description

With MagLatch is installed and used properly your firearm is no longer deemed an "assault weapon" in restrictive states. Our kit installs as easy as the mil-spec magazine release because it is exactly that. We've taken mil-spec parts and modified them rather then redesigning a nearly perfect platform. That means no funny arms, milling, or drilling your lower. When utilized properly our compliant device converts your firearm to fixed magazine bypassing assault weapon registration requirements. When used properly the F.N.G.R. conforms to all requirements of SB 880/AB 1135 and NY Safe Act. Most restrictive states follow the same requirements but be sure to check with your local authority before installing our device.

Regardless of type, fitting of the F.N.G.R. shim may be required due to variations to the recess of the magazine well.

MODES OF MAGLATCH F.N.G.R.:

  • IN A BAN STATE: Insert magazine of 10 rounds or less. Insert F.N.G.R. shim.
  • IN A FREE STATE: Disassemble Upper and lower. Remove F.N.G.R. shim. Use rifle as intended where legal to do so.

IN RESTRICTED STATES IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO USE CERTAIN FIREARMS WITH A DETACHABLE MAGAZINE.

Kit includes:

  • MagLatch Modified Magazine Catch
  • F.N.G.R. (Type 2 x2)
  • Magazine Catch Spring
  • Magazine Release Button
  • Set Screw
  • Allen Key
  • Installation Instructions

Don't forget your backup F.N.G.R.'s!

After overwhelming requests to solve the ever growing problem of forgotten magazines, Andrew Bobro of Bobro Engineering, designed the F.N.G.R. to prevent misplacement of your magazine. F.N.G.R. was originally designed to retain your firearm's magazine in the confines of your lower receiver to prevent loss or theft.

Patent Pending

MagLatch devices have not been approved by the DOJ. This device was designed to conform to the law as written in SB-880/AB 1135, which defines “fixed magazine” to mean an ammunition feeding device contained in, or permanently attached to, a firearm in such a manner that the device cannot be removed without disassembly of the firearm action. Thousands of units have been installed and tested under the law. Multiple authorities have authorized use of our device. Since DOJ refuses to release an opinion letter we are unable to claim it is DOJ approved.
