With MagLatch F.N.G.R. installed your firearm may no longer be deemed an "assault weapon" by restrictive states. Our kit installs as easy as the mil-spec magazine release because it is exactly that. We've taken mil-spec parts and modified them rather then redesigning a nearly perfect platform. That means no funny arms, milling, or drilling your lower. Our compliant device may convert your firearm bypassing assault weapon registration requirements. When used properly the F.N.G.R. conforms to all requirements of SB 880/AB 1135 and NY Safe Act. Most restrictive states follow the same requirements but be sure to check with your local authority before installing our device.
Type 0: LMT and other AR-10 lowers with a recess measuring approximately 0.475" wide.
Type 1: Aero Precision, CMMG, LMT, Mega Arms MATEN and other AR-10 lowers with a recess measuring approximately 0.400" wide. (Please note, this option utilizes a mil-spec magazine catch, and not the ambi-dextrous catch.)
Type 2: LWRC REPR, Sig Sauer 716, and other AR-10 lowers with a recess measuring approximately 0.600" wide. Anderson AM-10's or lowers with beveled recesses may require minor fitting. (Please note, this option utilizes a mil-spec magazine catch, and not the ambi-dextrous catch.)
Fits on most AR-10/SR-25 style firearms and others utilizing a standard AR-15/AR-10 magazine catch. Certain AR-10's have either no recess or a smaller recess where the F.N.G.R. sits and fitting of the F.N.G.R. may be necessary. Will not work on AR10 lowers that utilize a commercial or non-mil-spec magazine catch.

After overwhelming requests to solve the ever growing problem of forgotten magazines, Andrew Bobro of Bobro Engineering, designed the F.N.G.R. to prevent misplacement of your magazine. F.N.G.R. was originally designed to retain your firearm's magazine in the confines of your lower receiver to prevent loss or theft.
MagLatch devices have not been approved by the DOJ. This device was designed to conform to the law as written in SB-880/AB 1135, which defines “fixed magazine” to mean an ammunition feeding device contained in, or permanently attached to, a firearm in such a manner that the device cannot be removed without disassembly of the firearm action. Thousands of units have been installed and tested under the law. Multiple authorities have authorized use of our device. Since DOJ refuses to release an opinion letter we are unable to claim it is DOJ approved.
