Bypass California's Assault Weapon Registration with MagLatch! Kit includes the drop-in MagLatch AK device and tools for install. Magazine is optional, but modification of your own is required to be legal. Takes less than 5 minutes to install and there are no modifications to your firearm. MagLatch is unobtrusive and quickly reversible.
MagLatch has two modes; Ban State and Free State. While in ban states top loading or loading through the ejection port is recommended for fastest reloads. When traveling to free states disassemble the action and remove the modified magazine.
Drops in most stamped or milled pistol or rifle receivers in 7.62x39mm and 5.45x39mm.
Stamped or Milled? If your AK variant does not have this support rivet, the milled version is required. Milled version works on all milled receivers including C39's and C39V2's

MagLatch devices have not been approved by the DOJ. This device was designed to conform to the law as written in SB-880/AB 1135, which defines “fixed magazine” to mean an ammunition feeding device contained in, or permanently attached to, a firearm in such a manner that the device cannot be removed without disassembly of the firearm action. Thousands of units have been installed and tested under the law. Multiple authorities have authorized use of our device. Since DOJ refuses to release an opinion letter we are unable to claim it is DOJ approved.
Do not use MagLatch with any ammunition storage device except MagLatch Modified Magazines within restricted States.
